Democracy lives! Vote now…

UK Blog Awards

Readers, friends, fellow cyclists…

When I tell people I have a blog, I see them wince internally and search for the correct response without offending me. They see the average blog as self-indulgent and badly written, a catalogue of mundanity under the pretence of profundity.

(Seriously, that last sentence…pretentious, moi?)

The fact is there are tens of millions of blogs out there, so it stands to reason that a good number will be best avoided. However, I have come to realise that there are also lots of creative, original, funny, sad, and beautifully written ones.

Sorting the wheat from the chaff can sometimes be tricky, but it’s worth it.

By managing to turn 40, raise two young boys, stay married, keep my job, ride my bike, and still maintain my blog, I am performing well beyond expectations. I hope to keep up this improbable output. I also hope that you don’t find my blog pretentious, mundane, self-indulgent, or badly written.

But if you do, that’s fine.

I choose to publish this stuff, and you are free to judge it.

Talking of being judged (see what I did there…) I am an entrant in the UK Blog Awards for 2017, and the public vote lasts until 19th December 2016.

It would be great if you could take a minute to vote for me by clicking here: UK Blog Awards – VOTE NOW!!

Either way, thanks for reading.

Please come back again and comment, follow, like, share, or ignore as you see fit.

  1. Hey. It’s a blog not the news of the world. Yo can self indulge until your heart’s content. I will continue to read for the sheer opportunity to listen to a fellow humans shitty views. 🤕

  2. You get my vote – you can spell, write articulately, and on a subject I enjoy reading about. Nuff said.

    Merry Christmas !
